GSSR is open to qualified candidates irrespective of your gender, race, ethnicity, religion, age, or country of origin.
All successful PhD applicants receive doctoral scholarships in accordance with the 2018 Polish Law of Science and Higher Education. Additional research stipends and funding are available on a competitive basis.
In the Academic Year 2026/2027:
– the PhD program in Psychology will accept at most 1 student outside externally funded grants;
– the PhD program in Political Science will accept at most 1 student outside externally funded grants;
– IFiS will admit up to 4 students outside externally funded projects. As of the date of adoption of the Rules of Admission, recruitment within IFiS PAN can be conducted only in the Sociology program.
Information regarding the possibility of recruitment to the PhD program in Philosophy will be announced following the final decision concerning the scientific category in the discipline of philosophy for IFiS PAN, or upon receiving official confirmation from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education regarding the possibility of conducting recruitment in this discipline.
