Belarusian Scholarship Fund (BiaFuS)
Scholarships will be awarded to the two most outstanding candidates from Belarus accepted to the doctoral school in the 2021 application round. Applicants for scholarships should therefore follow the doctoral school’s admission procedure.
The BiaFuS scholarships can be held for maximum of four years (subject to sufficient progress with doctoral studies). Coverage of the Scholarship is for the academic year 2021-2022, with the possibility of renewal for another 3 academic years pending availability of funding at the end of which scholarship holders will be expected to have completed their doctorates.
The BiaFuS scholarships program is a joint program of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Leaders of Change Foundation established by the Polish- American Freedom Foundation and managing such programs as the Lane Kirkland Scholarship Program and the Kirkland Research Program.
Stipends of 3780 PLN per month after mandatory taxes /deductions will be awarded to the two most outstanding candidates from Belarus accepted to the doctoral school in the 2021 application round. Preference will be given to active citizens currently living in Belarus who plan academic research projects also relevant to the development of their countries, and who have not completed Masters studies in Poland.
BiaFuS Stipends are payable for 12 months of each academic year of the PhD program. Stipend holders will be required also to take part in some events organized in the framework of the Lane Kirkland Program including parts of the orientation program in the second part of September 2021, a Polish language course, and 3 meetings of Program participants held in different Polish towns (10 days in total).
