Two New Doctors at GSSR!

The Graduate School for Social Research (GSSR) warmly congratulates Dr. Hannah Ajewole and Dr. Emilia Kowalewska on the successful completion of their doctoral studies.

Dr. Hannah Ajewole (Philosophy)

Dr. Ajewole completed her PhD program at GSSR and obtained her PhD degree from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, USA.

Her dissertation, “Existence, Difference, and the Nigerian Woman: A Feminist Praxis Beyond Patriarchy,” supervised by Professor Randall Auxier, contributes to contemporary debates in feminist and African philosophy.

Dr. Emilia Kowalewska (Sociology)

Dr. Kowalewska defended her dissertation, “Constitutionalism as Competing Institutional Logics: Insights from a Review of Poland’s Constitution-Making Processes (1989–1997),” under the supervision of Prof. dr hab. Antoni Z. Kamiński, with prof. ALK dr hab. Helena Chmielewska-Szlajfer as Assistant Supervisor. During her doctoral studies, she conducted research at the European University Institute in Florence and published internationally on constitutionalism and collective memory, including with Cambridge University Press.
