What’s happening?
We’re excited to tell you about the upcoming Graduate School for Social Research (GSSR) Summer School 2023! This special event will take place from September 10-15 in Wierzba, Poland.
Who’s It For?
If you’re a PhD student in the Humanities or Social Sciences, this summer school is designed just for you. The focus this year is on Dissertation Management—everything you need to know to plan, organize, and complete your doctoral thesis.
What Will You Learn?
You’ll dive deep into important topics like time management, goal setting, research skills, and even stress management. You’ll also get to explore this year’s special theme: Accountability. Faculty and scholars will share their insights from the fields of philosophy, political science, psychology, and sociology.
How Will It Work?
Expect a mix of small group workshops, lectures, round-table discussions, and student presentations. There will also be a special session on writing policy briefs and another on student governance.
Special Announcement!
We are thrilled to welcome students from around the globe. This year, in addition to our own diverse GSSR student body, we’re honored to have eight students from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Hungary, Ireland, Romania, Ukraine and the United States joining us. It’s a fantastic opportunity to network internationally and broaden our academic horizons.
Students will gain valuable skills for your dissertation and academic career, network with scholars and students from around the world, and enjoy social events that will help you form lasting bonds.
So mark your calendars for September 10-15, 2023, and get ready for an enriching experience.
We can’t wait to see you there!
